BRICK SIDEWALK UPDATE July 3, 2025
Thank you to the 47 SCEC members of this group who have purchased a total of 120 bricks! To the other members, please consider supporting our community park vision, including a shelter/pavilion and natural children's playground. To date, we have raised 23% of the $100 thousand fundraiser goal. We also continue to pursue other funding sources needed.

Looking grreat, lets get more bricks!
Come check out our brick walkway adjacent to the pickleball courts!
170 engraved bricks received of 178 ordered to date have been installed on a first ordered, first placed basis. As new orders are received, they will replace the temporary filler bricks placed currently to complete the 6' x 65' walkway.
Thank you, Cooper and Sons Landscaping https://cooperandsonslandscaping.com/!
A special thank you to Paul Reimer, who recently moved from the area to Lawrence, KS. If not for him, the pickleball courts so many enjoy would not exist.
A big thank you once again to Kyle Devitt and Joe of Talbot Excavating.
They safely and efficiently removed the asphalt on the south side of the pickleball courts prior to construction of the brick walkway and installation of engraved bricks.
SEABECK COMMUNITY CENTER
“BRICK” FUNDRAISER
Thinking of memorializing a special family member, or someone or something else near and dear to you? Why not consider an engraved brick to honor them, to be installed in the coming months and maintained in perpetuity on the Seabeck Community Center grounds between the pickleball courts and the adjacent family-friendly park we envision for the future?
Thank you to the 90 individuals who have ordered 178 bricks to date in the various 4x8, 8x8 and 12x12 offered sizes! Of the 90, 37 are current members of the Seabeck Pickleball Facebook group, or 7% of that’s group population. For the remaining 93%, if you have enjoyed use of the outside courts, and perhaps even the indoor courts during the winter months, wouldn’t you also appreciate an adjoining beautifully landscaped park open to all to connect, socialize, picnic and commune with nature? Further, you could watch children enjoy a safe and natural playground or seek shelter from the elements under a timber frame pavilion, which will hopefully also serve as a great venue for concerts, dances and countless other events of interest and in demand by the community.
All of this is only possible with funding via this engraved brick fundraiser at https://polarengraving.com/seabeckcc launched in August 2023, or from other sources. To date, we have only achieved 23% of our goal so we need your support. Thank you for your consideration and your support of the Seabeck Community Center!
